Coach Micela Leads Women\’s Pan American Weightlifting Team
Coach Joe Micela has been selected to coach the 2013 Women’s Pan American Weightlifting Team. This is Coach Micela’s second assignment as Head Coach for the Pan American Team. He coached the Pan American Team back in 2009 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The Team is lead by 2012 Olympian Sarah Robles. “Many new faces on this team which is a good thing. It shows the growth of our sport,” Coach Micela stated. This team will be competing for team points for the 2015 Pan American Games in Canada. The team will be traveling to St. Margherita, Venezuela from June 23-July 1st.
