Class Objective:

To teach perspective Physical Education Instructors, Strength & Conditioning Coaches, Personal Trainers, and Sport Coaches the safe and proper implementation of Weightlifting Movements.  Students will learn proper technique on the Snatch, Clean & Jerk, and the Assistance Exercises.  The class will learn how to break down the movements into a series of Progressions that will be build upon a Foundation of Technique and Understanding that will give the instructor the ability to teach a large group of athletes.  This course will also provide coaches the necessary tools to properly introduce Weightlifting Exercises into a General Strength and Conditioning program for any sport.

A unique feature of this class will be the opportunity for all Students to take USA Weightlifting’s Level 1 Club Coaching Coarse at the conclusion of the semester for an additional $150.  Registration for the exam will take place on USA Weightlifting’s website www.usaweightlifting.org click on Coaching and go to Coaching Courses Print off the Form and Fax it to USAW at 719-866-4741.
