2017 National Youth Silver Medalist Nathan Cerwinske Back Squatting 200 kilos during his training session on 8/18/17. This was Nate’s sixth Squat workout of the week second for that day. It was a 10 kilo Personal Record. He weighs 68 kilos.
Youth National Silver Medalist Nathan Cerwinske Back Squats 190 kilos 1 hour competing at the 2017 Youth Nationals. When asked why did he back squat after the competition, Nates reply, “we always back squat after heavy snatches and Clean & Jerks.” Great answer by a great young athlete!
16 years ago Coach Joe left collegiate strength and conditioning for the private sector. He had a vision of taking high level strength and conditioning services to work with a wide variety of ages and athletes . He also had a vision of creating a top level Olympic Weightlifting team. He put his vision into action when creating Performance One Advanced Sports Training. Coach Joe has coached all levels of athletes of all sports. He also has coached at all levels for the sport of Olympic Weightlifting: local, national, international, and 2012 Olympics.

Routine Back Squat for Becky Walker of 145 kilos at the end of her Workout. Becky is a Performance One Weightlifter but is going to school at Lindenwood University in St. Louis, Missouri. She follows Coach Micela’s Program and corresponds with him several times a week to make sure that everything is going according to plan. She will be competing at the 2016 University National Weightlifting Championships in New Orleans at the end of September.
115 kilo Front Squat PR for Morgan Huppenthal this was a 5 kilo improvement from her previous best. Morgan is one of the hardest working female lifters in our gym. We are very lucky to be surrounded by very driven women whom are goal oriented. Keep it up!

Congrats to future Virginia Tech Grad Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach Morgan Hupenthal on hitting two big Personal Records in the Back Squat on Wednesday with 100 & 105 kilo Back Squat. Morgan is showing great promise in the Sport of Weightlifting she will be competing at the Arizona State Championships in May. #stronggirls
19 year old Cody King Back Squats 260 kilos (572 lbs) in Training on Tuesday Nov 18th, 2014. This was a 10 kilo Personal Record for him. We have set a Goal of 273 kilos (600 lbs) before February for Cody. I believe with the consistent training he will go after it.
