Sarah Robles Wins Collegiate Nationals

Top Performance One Weightlifter Sarah Robles solidified her place in the Nation at the 2011 Collegiate National Championships in Shreveport, Louisiana by winning the Collegiate Title in the 75+ kilo class.  Sarah was not just satisfied with winning the title she went after one of Hall of Fame Weightlifter Cheryl Haworth’s Collegiate Clean & Jerk Record.  The old record was 145 kilos and Sarah easily lifted 146 kilos on her third attempt.  Sarah posted a 256 kilo total which was 5 kilos up from her performance at the World Championships back in September.

She is now:

Collegiate Record Holder in the Clean & Jerk 146 kilos

#1 in the 75+ kilo class

#1 on the 2011 Pan Am Games Team

#1 on the 2011 World Championship Team

#1 Weightlifter Male or Female in the US

2011 National Collegiate Olympic Weightlifting Championships

April 7th,  just arrived in Shreveport, LA for the USA Weightlifting Collegiate National Championships.  Performance One has three athletes competing in this years competition.  In the 62 kilo class we have Keith Weitz.  This is Keith’s second Collegiate National Championships and looking to make a big impact.  He should be contending for a medal this year.  Next up is Craig Rintoul in the 77 kilo class.  Craig is a veteran lifter and looking to crack into the top three this year. Craig has had a great training cycle and should hit some big weights.  Lastly is USAW number one ranked female weightlifter Sarah Robles.  Sarah has one titles at every event except the Collegiate Nationals.  She is in good shape and should push to break the Collegiate American Record in the Clean & Jerk.  This event will springboard all three athletes into the Senior National Championships in July in Iowa.  This event will be UStreamed live over the internet.  We will post video to our facebook account.  For more information go to
