85 kilo B Session at the Olympics

and his Coach Kyle Pierce was to go after the first place guy in the B session who had a 363 Total.

208 kilos would have tied him on Total with the top guy and Kendric would have went ahead of him, because he was lighter on bodyweight. 208 would be a New American Record in the Clean & Jerk and Total (363 kilos) for the 85 kilo weight class. Kendric was the last lifter in the session and stood up with the 208 kilo clean. On the Jerk he dropped his chest a little and it caused him to have to chase the bar out front. A little too much off balance for him to control the bar and he missed the jerk. It was a good clean and he almost made the jerk.

He finished with a 355 kilo total and third place in the B Session. The A Session will compete later tonight. Kendric is a 2x Olympian, multiple National Champion, and American Record Holder. He will go down as one of the best American Weightlifters of his Generation. I am honored to have know him even for a little bit during his run of success. Great job Kendric.

Me and a good friend at the Olympics

Me with the General Secretary of the Oceanic Weightlifting Federation, Paul Coffa at the USA House in downtown London, England. We were both invited to event sponsored by the USOC, USAW, and IWF. Great event and I was glad to be apart of it.
